FAQ
-
Do I need pottery experience to sign up for class?
Not at all! We welcome all levels, from complete beginners to experienced potters.
We currently offer beginner wheel throwing classes but we will be launching intermediate classes and specialised workshops in the future!
-
What are your opening hours?
We’re currently open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays 10am-6pm.
The studio is open only for classes and workshops during other hours.
-
How does your membership work?
We offer 24/7 access for members and firing service at $8/kg.
Members can use the studio equipment and get one storage box.
See our Memberships page for details.
-
Do you allow drop-in sessions?
Yes, we have a drop-in offering called Open Access. Open Access allows you to pre-book a 3h time slot (currently Fridays and Saturdays) to use the studio at your own pace.
Note that Open Access sessions are unguided, but you’re welcome to ask us any questions related to clay or anything else!
Clay and firing is charged separately. -
Can I bring in work made outside the studio to be fired?
A: Usually yes, as long as it's made with cone-compatible clay and glazes. Our studio is a high-fire stoneware studio, so best to check with us before bringing in outside work.
Firing for non-members is charged by weight at $10/kg. Firing includes the use of the studio’s glazes. -
Can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time, however you’ll need to pay the full membership plan until the end. For example, if you’ve signed up for an annual membership, you’ll be required to pay the monthly fee for 12 months.
If there’s an issue with maintaining your membership, let us know and we can work something out!
