Candelabra Workshop with Emilie Monty
Sunday 26 July, 2026 | 10:00am – 12:30pm

Join multidisciplinary artist Emilie Monty for a special handbuilding workshop where you'll create your own unique ceramic candelabra. Guided by Emilie, you'll explore sculptural forms, balance, and composition while learning techniques to transform clay into a functional yet expressive centrepiece.

Whether you're new to clay or have some experience, this workshop offers a relaxed and creative experience. By the end of the session, you'll have crafted a one-of-a-kind candelabra ready to be glazed and fired.

All materials, tools, glazing, and firing are included. Workshop includes firing of one piece, additional work can be fired at $10 per piece.

About the Teacher

Emilie Monty is a multidisciplinary artist of Australian-Mauritian descent, based in Walyalup (Fremantle), on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar. Working with sound, ceramics, and installation, Monty explores how sensory experiences can become spaces for connection—playful, participatory, and always in conversation with others. Collaboration sits at the heart of their practice, where art becomes an open conversation between people, materials, and ideas.
