Beginner 4-Week Wheel Throwing Course [May 20th - June 10th 2026]

$350.00

This 4-week course is perfect for beginners and offers a hands-on introduction to wheel throwing. You’ll learn the fundamentals of centering, pulling, shaping, and trimming clay on the wheel. Each week builds on core techniques, and in the final week, you'll glaze your finished pieces, readying them for their final firing. By the end of the course, you’ll have a selection of your own handmade ceramics and a solid foundation in wheel work.

All clay, tools and firing are included. You’ll receive 5kg of clay to work with and can fire up to 5 pieces during the course—additional pieces can be fired for $10 each.

What to bring: Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy—pottery is wonderfully hands-on! An apron or towel is also recommended to help keep you (and our space) tidy.

🗓 This course runs on the following dates:

  • Wednesdays starting May 20th 2026, 6pm-8:30pm.

A quick note about bookings:

Please choose your workshop date and time carefully—we don’t offer refunds or reschedules. Make-up classes for missed sessions aren’t always guaranteed. Mark your calendar so you don’t miss out (reminders aren’t always sent).

Can’t make it after all? No problem—you can pass your booking on to a friend before the course starts. Just let us know who’ll be coming instead! Once the course is underway, though, we’re unable to allow swaps or new participants to join partway through.

Please also note that if there aren’t enough bookings, we may cancel the course but we’ll let you know in advance and offer a full refund.
